Janome Programmable Automation Controllers
Panasonic The concept of a Programmable Automation Controller or PAC was first introduced by CTC in the early 1980's together with Quickstep™ state based language as an improvement over the traditional PLC based automation solutions that had been in use since the 1960's.
PACs retain the rugged deterministic operation characteristics of the PLC, but incorporate this functionality into a new architecture or PAC that allows the PAC to handle additional machine automation functions — such network communication, data logging, and advanced motion control — in a single package. CTC’s hardware architecture and programming interface adeptly integrate the best features of a PLC, PC and Motion Controller.

Blue Fusion 5000 Series
5300 Controller
Control Technology Corporation makes an extensive line of high-performance programmable automatic controllers and accessories that control and monitor machines and equiment.
CTC programmable automation controllers range from small, self-contained systems with 32 I/O points to large-scale networked systems encompassing thousands of I/O points.
These programmable automation controllers excel at intergrating I/O, servo/stepper motors, user interfaces and enterprise connectivity into a single distributed control strategy.
* Build-in web server
* Analog & digital I/O
* Remote monitoring & control
* Multi-axis motion control
* Quick enterprise IT integration
* Compact industrial design
The Blue Fusion Model 5300 is a high performance programmable automation controller designed for industrial discrete and process control applications.
CTC’s award winning Blue Fusion controllers combine the features of a PLC, motion controller and PC into a small DIN rail mountable package.
The controller can be used in a stand-alone configuration or it can be easily networked via its serial and LAN connections. The built-in web server makes Internet or intranet access a snap. For larger applications the Model 5300 supports up to 1024 I/O points and up to 16 axes of motion control.
Depending on the application, the 5300 can be configured as a daisy-chained series of up to ten units using CTC's Ethernet Quicklink™ (EQL), or it can be programmed to independently control complex real-time applications.
The 5300 features a proven multi-tasking real-time operating system with plenty of non-volatile memory. Programming the 5300 is simple with CTC’s intuitive next-generation QuickBuilder™ state language or for advanced applications use C/ C++. You can even combine both languages in a single application.

5200 Controller
The Blue Fusion 5200 is a high performance programmable automation controller designed for industrial discrete and process control applications.
For larger applications the 5200 supports up to three expansion racks allowing over 192 I/O points to be managed by a single system.
Depending on the application the 5200 can be configured as remote I/O using a variety of standard protocols including Modbus®, or it can be programmed to independently control complex real-time applications. The 5200 features a proven multi-tasking real-time operating system with plenty of non-volatile memory.
Programming the 5200 is simple with CTC’s intuitive Quickstep state language or for advanced applications use C/ C++. You can even combine both languages in a single application.
* Web enabled automation: monitor and control devices via
   Web browser or enterprise server
* Integral XML and SQL support for extended web based
   control
* Up to 50 I/O points
* Up to 6-1/2 motion axes
* Compact size, DIN rail mountable
Blue Fusion Family of Web Based Controller
The 5100 series is part of Control Technology Corporation's Blue Fusion Family of web based controllers, combining fully configurable I/O, motion control and enterprise connectivity into a single compact package — at a price that's lower than many non-networking controllers.
With built-in 10/100 Base T Ethernet, the 5100 supports the protocols that put your devices on the Web over secure connections, including:
* HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol)
* SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol)
* SMTP (Simple Mail Message Transfer Protocol)
* RMI (Remote Message Invocation)
* Modbus/TCP
In addition to multi-protocol support, the 5100 also supports XML and SQL, two of the most widely used standards used for sharing information across databases throughout the enterprise.
This combination enables IT professionals to rapidly integrate business and manufacturing systems on both a networking and a software level for true web enabled automation
Classic 2000 series Controllers –
2700 Controllers
* High-density rack-mount system
* Integrates machine sequencing, motion control,
   networking, and data acquisition
* Up to 16 axes of motion
* Up to 512 I/O
* Serial, Ethernet, DeviceNet communications
The 2700 Series programmable automation controllers use advanced technology, including a highly integrated plug-in CPU, to attain performance that exceeds the response metrics of much more costly systems.
This performance level, combined with the controller's 128K user memory capacity and extended I/O and step capacities, makes the 2700 Series appropriate for any applicatio that demands ultra fast response times or real-time, multitasking machine control.
A multi-processor architecture distributes the workload, thereby increasing system performance. Multitasking for up to 84 independent tasks and advanced motion control commands enable you to design sophisticated solutions for the most complex applications.
High performance, small size
The 2601 programmable automation controller is a high performance control system whose small size conceals a range of resources and capabilities usually found only in much larger and more costly systems. A few of this controller's unusual features:
* Multitasking, with up to 28 parallel tasks running
   simultaneously.
* Fast State Language programming using Quickstep™.
* 988 storage registers, including 500 non-volatile registers.
* A Data Table capable of storing over 8000 numbers in a
   two-dimensional array.
* Short-circuit and overcurrent-protected outputs.
* Two RS-232 communications ports.
* Internal counters which may be software-linked to any
   input.
These capabilities combine to allow you to build additional power into machines which in the past could not cost-justify a controller of this caliber. For example:
* Run a diagnostic routine in parallel with your main
   program, catching problems before they occur.
* Collect production data and communicate it to a computer,
   for logging or display.
* Connect an operator interface to the serial port, and have
   full interactive control of machine parameters.
These are just a few of the ideas which can add value to your control application without adding significant cost.
Automation Kit
The 2601 is also available as an Automation Kit, designed to introduce you to CTC's family of products. The kit includes:
* 2601 programmable automation controller
* Quickstep for Windows SE
* Distribution blocks and power supply cable
Quickstep for Windows SE is a special edition of Quickstep designed for the 2601 controller. Programs developed with Quickstep SE may be upgraded to run on the Model 5100 and 2700 controllers.
