ASC Motion BRUSHLESS DC MOTOR
CTC The Premotec Brushless DC motors use an external rotor and an iron core stator to minimize cogging and to maximize the output torque. Supplied in an extremely compact package, Premotec brushless motors are available with or without integrated electronics. The use of high quality components ensures a motor life in excess of 20.000 hours. The torque for these motors ranges from 2.5 to 210 mNm. Output power ranges from 1W to 70W. The speeds range from 1000 to 10,000 rpm.

Toshiba The Premotec Coreless DC motors have a maximized performance due to the use of precious metal commutation in combination with high performance magnets. As these motors are coreless there are no iron losses, no preferred rotor position and due to the use of many phases, the torque ripple is reduced to a minimum. The torque for these motors ranges from 5 to 100 mNm. Output power ranges from 1.55W to 25W. The speeds range from 1800 to 4200 rpm.

IRON CORE DC MOTOR
The Premotec Iron Core DC motors have a modular structure that allows the motor to be integrated with two gearbox types in ratios from 6 to 729:1. The use of plastic in these motors minimises cost whilst giving high resistance to chemicals and corrosion. Reliability is maximised by using internal spark suppression. Metal-geared versions are available for higher torque versions. Output power ranges from 3W to 12W. The speeds range from 2700 to 4200 rpm without gearbox.
SYNCHRONOUS & STEPPER MOTORS
The Premotec permanent magnet stepper and synchronous motors combine high energy magnets in a cost effective "claw pole" design to give low operating temperature and a superior torque to size ratio. For the steppers, torques from 10 to 75 mNm and speeds from 300 to 1000 rpm are available, with a step angle of 7.5 degrees. All our steppers are available with unipolar or bipolar drive electronics. Rated torques for the synchronous motors run from 4 up to 33 mNm with a speed of 250 and 500 rpm (based on 50 Hz).
GEARBOXES

Using a large motor as a direct drive solution is seldom economic in terms of system efficiency and space. The use of gearing to adapt motor to load enables an optimised drive solution to be obtained. The most common gearbox types are spur and planetary.
Spur Gearboxes are especially advantageous in applications requiring lowest input friction and highest gear efficiency. Ratio starting from 4 to 15,000. Max Torque up to 10Nm. Available in square flange from 30x30mm to 70x70mm.
Battery-operated or portable equipment where supply current may be limited are good examples. In-line and offset versions are available in a wide range of ratios. The design of a planetary gearbox enables a high ratio to be utilised in a single stage with the result that torque transmission is maximised and gearbox size minimised.
Therefore, planetary gearboxes really come into their own when the requirements are highest rated torque in the smallest package. Ratio starting from 4 to 1,140. Max Torque up to 25Nm. Available in round flange from diameter 32mm to 60mm.

ENCODERS
A number of feedback options enable Premotec coreless motor performance to be fully realised in both drive and servo systems. Speed or position control can be provided through the use of high-resolution optical or low-resolution magnetic encoders to ensure the right technology match is available for the majority of applications.
